Thanksgiving in the Woods 2024

We had an excellent Thanksgiving in the Woods campout at the Haynes Cabin and Camp Nobscot last November. We cooked turkey with orange slices in dutch ovens on a wood burning stove and had mashed potatoes and sweet corn as well. The meal was outstanding!

Earlier in the day we did a five mile hike which included a great view of the distant Boston skyline and the hills of eastern Massachusetts. Some of the Scouts did an early hike to watch the sunrise at Tippling Rock.

We really appreciate Luke Gettings for his outstanding leadership during the campout.

We also really appreciate Logan Keene, our lead cook, and all of other Scouts who helped prepare the great dinner.

Thanks to Ms. Braygreen for being one of the adult advisors for the weekend. Thanks also to Mr. Scott and Mr. Troppoli for helping with the driving to and from Camp Nobscot.
